Job Details Employment Type: Travel Nursing Setting: Adult Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit Location: Hilo, Hawaii 96720 - scenic coastal community on the Big Island with access to Hawaii's outdoor beauty Start Date: 9/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift; 12-hour rotating shifts Hours: 36 hours per week after the first full week of orientation Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,860-$1,960 Schedule Notes: Various shift lengths and days may be required; flexibility is essential Orientation: Department-specific orientation provided Job Requirements Active Hawaii RN license required by start date At least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required BLS and ACLS certification required Strong adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced adult medical-surgical and acute care setting Ability to float to other nursing units when needed Professional nursing attire and excellent teamwork skills Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and unit protocols Support patients with wound care, chest tubes, and other common Med/Surg interventions as needed Accurately document care in the electronic medical record Assist with unit workflows and collaborate to maintain smooth patient care delivery Float to other assigned units when required Apply now for this Hawaii travel RN job in Hilo and join a team committed to exceptional patient care.
