As a smaller accounting firm, we pride ourselves on our work-life balance environment. We expect full 40 hours weeks during tax season (January through April 15th) but allow ourselves to slow down outside of that time frame with close to unlimited flexability. As long as the work is complete, we do not care how many hours it does or does not take. This position woud focus on staff auditing help during tax season as well as the willingness to help prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses. There are a few other responsibilities this role take on to ensure hourly work outside of tax season (such as bookkeping), which can be discussed further in meeting. This is a great role for someone who is self motiviated and values their time outsie of work, while still valuing the quality of their work produced. We would prefer someone with auditing expereince, specifically in preparing work papers, trial balances, and financial statements and with bookkeeping experience or knowledge. Other experience such as tax work is an added bonus.
