Data Migration Engineer

Role Description
Our client is driving a major data modernization effort following its acquisition. We're looking for a hands-on Data Migration Engineer to help move critical mortgage data from AS400 (IBM i) into a modern SAS environment. This is a high-impact role where you'll work directly with legacy systems and modern data tooling to enable enterprise analytics.
- Migrate mortgage data from AS400 / DB2 to SAS
- Analyze and work with RPG (RPG III / IV) code and data structures
- Build and manage transformation pipelines using DBT
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and reconciliation during migration
- Collaborate with business and technical teams on requirements and validation
Qualifications
- Strong experience with AS400 / IBM i
- Expertise in RPG programming
- Hands-on experience with DBT
- Solid background in data migration / ETL / ELT
- Experience with DB2 (AS400) and SQL
- Exposure to SAS (preferred)
Requirements
- Mortgage / financial services experience (nice to have)
- Cloud or modern data platform exposure (AWS, Azure, Snowflake) (nice to have)
