Inspection Supervisor

Winsert is seeking qualified candidates for an Inspection Supervisor. This role will lead daily Inspection operations to ensure product is processed and released on time while meeting customer, quality, safety, and cost expectations. The Inspection Supervisor is responsible for department staffing, workflow, inventory, labor utilization, and performance. They coordinate Inspection resources and work cross-functionally to support on-time delivery and continuous improvement. Winsert offers an excellent benefits package including:

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain department performance for safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and productivity.
• Plan staffing, schedules, and daily work assignments to meet production requirements while effectively managing labor utilization and overtime.
• Monitor daily workflow and performance, taking timely corrective action when results deviate from plan.
• Provide leadership, coaching, development, and accountability to achieve company and department goals.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and cost, improve productivity, and strengthen department performance.
• Ensure consistent compliance with Winsert policies, procedures, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Support changing production priorities, ECN activity, special shipping requirements, and other department needs as required.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training Inspection employees.
• Oversee department inventory and non-inventory purchasing needs.
• Conduct regular shift and department communication meetings.
• Ensure required audits are completed and corrective actions are followed through.
• Maintain department work instructions, procedures, and training documentation.
• Initiate maintenance work orders as needed.
• Provide backup support for shipping documentation when required.
• Maintain 5S standards and proper WIP and inventory segregation.

• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment.

Physical demands include:

• Must be able to actively move through production area to work with staff.
• Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen.
• Hearing must be correctable to allow extensive use of telephone and voicemail as well as participate in discussions among large groups.
• Mobility and coordination must allow for required tasks to be performed.

Education and experience:

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred.
• Formal leadership training may be provided.
• Prior training and/or experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
• 5 years' experience in manufacturing is preferred.
