EMT-Pediatric Critical Care Transport (NIGHTS)

Job Title: EMT – Transport Team (Wilmington, DE) Schedule : Night Shift 1845-0715, full‑time, 72 hours biweekly with every third weekend and every third holiday. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients from referring hospitals or to other facilities and destinations. The EMT operates the vehicle safely, assists the transport Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist teams, and performs all direct patient care under EMT certification, supervised by the transport Team RN/RT and Medical Command Officer. The CCTT transports on average ten (10) patients daily, with ninety percent by ambulance and the remainder by helicopter. Patient placement includes specialty units such as pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, cardiac intensive care, burn units, emergency and surgical units, and general pediatric floors. The EMT also assists with patient care in the PICU, NICU, and ED and serves as a resource to other nursing units.
