Phlebotomist - Float
$17.6 - $30.41 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a float phlebotomist for its Pomona, NY laboratory to collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques across multiple clinic locations. The role involves specimen preparation, patient data entry, and billing processing, with flexibility to rotate between sites and varying weekday and weekend schedules.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for diverse patient populations
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
- Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing and analysis
- Travel to additional clinic sites as needed to support operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- At least 21 years old
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation for travel between locations
Compensation: $17.60 - $30.41 per hour, plus $1.00/hr float incentive and mileage reimbursement; quarterly performance bonus eligible
