General Labor 2nd Shift - Elkhart, IN
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Hours: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm or 12:00am, Occasional Saturday 6-8 hours overtime
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable General Labor team member to support a manufacturing operation producing window components. This hands-on position involves operating and monitoring bending machinery, measuring materials, performing quality checks, moving materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, pays close attention to detail, has reliable attendance, and is willing to learn new equipment and processes.

Responsibilities:  

• Operate and monitor bending machinery to produce window components according to production specifications.
• Set up machines, make basic adjustments, and monitor equipment to ensure proper operation and product quality.
• Read work orders, measurements, and production instructions to ensure products meet the required specifications.
• Perform routine quality inspections and identify or report defects, equipment issues, or production concerns to the supervisor.
• Safely handle and move materials throughout the production process while maintaining an organized work area.
• Assist with machine cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and routine maintenance while following all safety and quality procedures.

Requirements:  

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but it is not required.  
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependability are essential.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and operate production machinery.
• Ability to work efficiently while meeting daily production and quality expectations.
• PPE Required: Safety glasses, ear plugs depending on station assigned to.
