The Family Law Paralegal serves as an essential member of our boutique family‐law practice, providing high‐level support in divorce, custody, and domestic‐violence matters. Working directly with the lead attorney, this position requires exceptional organization, strong legal acumen, and the ability to manage fast‐moving cases from intake through trial. The role includes regular court attendance and hands‐on involvement in all phases of litigation, client communication, and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted legal research on issues arising in family‐law cases
• Draft pleadings, motions, orders, and other litigation documents with precision
• Interview clients and gather critical case information
• File cases, track deadlines, and manage court calendars
• Organize, label, and maintain evidence and exhibits for hearings and trial
• Prepare trial notebooks, witness files, and exhibit binders
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of case activity and client communication
• Attend court proceedings to assist the attorney with exhibits, notes, and case management

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a family law paralegal

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in drafting, document preparation, and client communication
• Thorough knowledge of Texas family‐law procedures and litigation workflow
• Exceptional attention to detail and time‐management skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a deadline‐driven environment
