Nurse Part Time - afternoons 1 - 4pm Riverbend School - Natick, Massachusetts Job Details Job ID: 5673515 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Apr 27, 2026 12:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 31, 2026 Salary: $30 to $40 Per Hour Job Description Position: Part Time Nurse Reports to: CFO Classification: Part‑Time, Exempt Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm Supervises: None Scope of Work Medication administration and triaging acute injuries and illnesses with follow‑up. Provide preventive, acute, and follow‑up care for students in grades Toddler through 8th. Act as liaison with students' physicians and parents/guardians. Ensure all health paperwork is up to date and enter data into the SNAP health portal. Maintain confidentiality of all student health information. Qualifications Licensed as a registered nurse in Massachusetts. Bachelor’s degree in nursing or closely related field. Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency. Experience with and knowledge of school nursing preferred. Detail‑oriented, meticulously organized. Work independently with limited supervision; excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with Google apps, SNAP health portal, and school management software. Exceptional ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information. Comfortable working in a culturally diverse environment and committed to diversity and inclusion. General Responsibilities Administer medications, including prescription and non‑prescription, per physician instructions. Treat illnesses and injuries of students, document and notify parents/guardians when appropriate. Maintain the health office in a clean, orderly, and safe condition; dispose of biomedical waste and manage first‑aid supplies. Administer SNAP health portal, maintain immunization, allergy, and hearing/vision records. Coordinate documentation and releases for field trips and off‑campus activities. Screen for head lice and provide parents with treatment information. Support school culture by modeling Montessori values and respecting student rights. Assist with physical tasks such as moving or lifting classroom materials up to 25 lb. Additional Responsibilities Collaborate and coordinate with other nurses. Ensure medical‑related purchases stay within budget. Other duties as assigned.
