Pega Lead System Architect (CLSA)

Location: New York, NY / Chicago, IL / Atlanta GA (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pega Lead System Architect (CLSA) to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Pega solutions supporting critical banking and insurance business processes. This role is responsible for architecting scalable applications, defining technical standards, mentoring development teams, and ensuring alignment between technology solutions and business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the Pega platform, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record designing and implementing complex solutions within highly regulated financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of complex Pega applications utilizing Pega Infinity and Constellation UX.
• Define reusable frameworks, components, and design standards to accelerate delivery and support long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, including architecture reviews, code reviews, and release governance.
• Mentor developers and promote best practices across development teams.
• Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems, external data providers, payment platforms, and other critical business applications.
• Drive performance, scalability, security, and compliance considerations across all solution designs.
• Support CI/CD initiatives and DevOps practices for Pega deployments.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of Pega development experience.
• 3+ years of experience serving as a Lead System Architect or equivalent architecture role.
• Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification is required.
• Strong experience with Pega Infinity platform.
• Deep expertise with:
  • Constellation UX
  • DX API
  • Enterprise integration patterns
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Common Data Model concepts
• Experience designing solutions in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance environments.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to guide distributed development teams and drive architectural decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and enterprise modernization programs.
• Experience integrating with third-party financial platforms, payment systems, or insurance data providers.
• Previous consulting experience working with enterprise clients.

Work Authorization

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 129,000 to 165,000.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
