1 year working history

Experience with data entry using MS Suite applications including Word and Outlook

Job Description

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for creating and implementing safety plans, reviewing policies, and conducting safety inspections to identify potential hazards. You will develop and maintain knowledge of safety regulations, identify training needs, and ensure annual refresher training is completed. Additionally, you will conduct powered industrial truck training and manage administrative duties such as recordkeeping, injury triage, and accident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a safe work environment by supporting and enforcing company safety programs.
• Review, update, and communicate safety policies and procedures to employees.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Stay current on OSHA and other workplace safety regulations to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate and track employee safety training, including new hire and ongoing training requirements.
• Schedule and facilitate annual refresher training courses as needed.
• Lead forklift (powered industrial truck) training and certification programs.
• Maintain accurate safety records, training documentation, and compliance reports.
• Respond to workplace injuries, coordinate injury triage, and investigate accidents to determine root causes and prevent future incidents.
• Partner with supervisors and employees to promote a strong culture of workplace safety and continuous improvement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodburn, OR.

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
