New Grad Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Overview

Seeking qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide direct nursing care within a secure correctional healthcare environment in Oklahoma City, OK. This position supports the healthcare services team in delivering quality patient care to an inmate population. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare for and support pill-line medication administration.
• Deliver medications to designated inmate housing units.
• Perform basic nursing functions, including:
  • Vital signs
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • EKGs
  • Dressing changes
  • Urine specimen collection
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with additional nursing duties as assigned.
• Support training and onboarding of newly contracted LPNs.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of inmate medical records in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
• Follow healthcare policies, institutional requirements, and security procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted state-issued LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety principles.
• Familiarity with medical equipment and automated healthcare systems.
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, peers, and inmate populations.
