Quick Facts: Location: 911 Meals Avenue, Valdez, AK 99686 Start Date: 07/16/2026 End Date: 08/10/2026 (with possible additional October shifts) Shift: Inpatient, Clinic & Call; 10 hours (8a-6p), overnight call Hours/Week: Approximately 40+ hours based on coverage needs Employment Type: Locum/Temporary License/Certifications: Active/IMLC license, DEA, BC Board Certified in Family Practice or Emergency Medicine with rural health experience Experience: Rural health, ER, Hospitalist, OB/C-Sections preferred Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (note: placeholder rate, detailed compensation discussed upon application) Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time, per applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable What You'll Do: Provide emergency care and primary outpatient services at a small rural hospital Cover broad scope procedures, including ER, outpatient, and obstetric/OB emergencies such as C-sections if needed Manage inpatient and outpatient patient care, transfer patients as necessary Participate in overnight call duties (beeper call) Support high-acuity cases with flexibility and professionalism Collaborate with a dedicated team committed to quality care What You Need: Active/IMLC medical license in Alaska DEA license Board Certified in Family Practice or Emergency Medicine Rural health experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Willingness to support multiple clinical roles including emergency, outpatient, and obstetric care About the Assignment: Providence Valdez is a vital part of a rural health network serving the Valdez community.
