Step into a pivotal role supporting students' success and development as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This engaging opportunity runs from September 2026 through June 2027 and is located within easy reach of Cambridge, MA. Work directly with K-12 students in an educational setting, offering both school-based and home health occupational therapy services. Your dedication will make a lasting difference in young lives.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts (OT MA)
- Experience in school environments, home health OT, or as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
- Strong understanding of IEPs, therapy documentation, and treatment planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and students
- Commitment to fostering independence and functional skills in children and adolescents
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to K-12 students, both within schools and in home settings as needed
- Work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, families, and other service providers to maximize progress
- Maintain detailed and timely records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required documentation
- Adapt techniques and approaches as appropriate for each student’s needs, enriching their learning environment
