What You Will Be Doing

\n

\n
• Lead and coordinate installation and commissioning activities for large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
\n
• Manage and coordinate Field Service Engineers, Technicians, and subcontractors to ensure installation and commissioning activities are completed safely and according to customer and project requirements.
\n
• Develop project commissioning plans and support the execution of new BESS projects across the Americas.
\n
• Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues during installation, startup, and commissioning.
\n
• Develop and maintain installation and commissioning processes, procedures, work instructions, training materials, quality requirements, and safety standards.
\n
• Select, train, and qualify subcontractors supporting installation and commissioning activities.
\n
• Develop request-for-quotation packages for subcontractor work and collaborate with sourcing and legal teams on related contracts.
\n
• Partner with quality and engineering teams to identify trends, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We Need From You

\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
\n
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
\n
• Experience leading installation and commissioning of industrial projects within power generation, energy, renewable energy, or complex industrial electrical environments.
\n
• Strong electrical and high-voltage experience, including electrical controls and NFPA 70E knowledge.
\n
• Hands-on field troubleshooting and commissioning experience with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and startup.
\n
• Experience leading or coordinating technical teams, field technicians, engineers, and/or subcontractors in a customer-facing project environment.

The ideal candidate will also have any or all of the following preferred experience and skills:

\n

\n
• Direct Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) or battery commissioning experience.
\n
• Experience with renewable energy, utility, or grid equipment, including transformers and switchgear/switchboards.
\n
• Experience with SCADA, PCS (Power Conversion Systems), PMS/PPC, or other power and controls systems.
\n
• Experience working within large-scale electrical infrastructure, EPC, power generation, or critical power environments.
\n
• Strong understanding of field safety requirements and experience supporting root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
\n
• Experience developing commissioning procedures, training materials, scopes of work, or other technical documentation.
\n
