Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Rapid City, SD

The clinic will accommodate up to 22 patients per day.

Minimum required experience: 1 year of clinic experience.

First-time travelers are welcome with any clinic experience.

Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from the facility.

Permanent staff must wait one full year to return as travelers.

Patient Types

• General Cardiology
• Electrophysiology
• Vascular Surgery

Patient Ratios

Will see 22 patients per day.

Required Certifications

• LPN: BLSE

Education Required

Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing.

Skills Required

Clinic experience is required, along with a background in cardiology.

Support on the Unit

• EKG Technologist
• Clinical Assistants (3) - 1 Clinical Assistant per 10 rooms
• Lead RN
• Nursing Manager (RN)

Charting System

Epic (required).

Floating

Only within the Cardiology clinic.

Orientation

Orientation according to facility protocol with 3-4 days on the unit side by side with a nurse.

Scheduling

Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm.

No weekend rotation required.

Holiday Expectations

Two of four holidays required. The day after Thanksgiving is considered a holiday.

Approval of Time Off

Contract extensions can allow for a total of 13 weeks for any full week off.
