NUTRITION OPERATOR (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Responsible for securing patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or face‑to‑face interactions. Work Details Location: Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin – 1201 West 38th Street, Austin, TX 78705 (online applications only). Schedule: Full‑time; days and hours may vary, rotating weekends, open availability needed. Pay: $17.00–$17.50 per hour. Requirement: 1 year of prior customer service, call center, or hospitality experience. Responsibilities Follow proper telephone etiquette and procedures with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Offer menu alternatives within prescribed diet guidelines, addressing allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences. Respond promptly to patient needs, resolve concerns or complaints, and, when necessary, report to a supervisor. Ensure compliance with special or modified diet restrictions as per diet order limitations. Coordinate with nursing staff to confirm accurate diet prescriptions and food requirements. Adhere to confidentiality and patients’ rights policies, including HIPAA procedures. Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. Follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to maintain quality and safety. Complete all required daily, weekly, or monthly reports within prescribed deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned.
