Oncologist

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Oncologist, you will join CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group and an established team working to expand a comprehensive oncology program across Kentucky, with a primary focus on Lexington and Berea. You will provide high-quality, comprehensive, accessible, and cost-effective oncology care supported by advanced cancer-care technology, current FDA-approved therapies, state-of-the-art radiation treatment, and strong partnerships with surgical specialists. Every day you will care for an existing patient panel supported by a large referral base and an APP who manages benign Hematology patients. You will work a Monday-through-Friday schedule with four hours of administrative time each week, light 1:6 weekday phone call, and 1:4 weekend call. You will have the flexibility to practice at a comfortable volume while helping build a program with a strong existing foundation. To be successful in this role, you will be board-certified or board-eligible in Oncology; Hematology board certification is not required. You will bring strong clinical judgment, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered cancer care. The recruitment package may include up to $200,000 in incentives through a sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, a residency bonus, and relocation assistance.
