Opportunity:

Multimodality Tech (CT/X-Ray)

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Possible float to like units within scope to meet facility needs
• 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT)(R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT)(C)
• Required certifications: SCRQSA, BLS, and ACLS (pending accepted if obtained within 2-3 weeks of hire)
• Experience highly preferred in Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Orthopedic exams in both modalities
• Experience with Siemens equipment, Epic, and PACS highly preferred
• Radiation badge must be provided by agency
• Scrub color: Teal blue top, black bottoms
• Charting system: Epic
• Parking cost applies for nights and weekends only; one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass
• Provide quality imaging and patient care within X-ray and CT modalities
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure competency in procedures being performed
• Produce images for interpretation or at the request of a licensed practitioner
• Serve patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Perform procedures including abdominal, chest, head, pelvis, musculoskeletal trauma, vascular CTA, and more
• Operate Siemens X-Ray and Siemens CT equipment
• Perform venipuncture, peripheral IV starts, and preparation and administration of contrast media
• Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

This facility is a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds. The organization provides comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties and supports an interdisciplinary team environment that includes physical therapy and interpretation services. The facility treats a diverse patient population with diagnoses including STEMI, stroke/CVA, cardiac conditions, and trauma, and offers both inpatient and some outpatient services including a pediatric population.
