HR SpecialistThe HR Specialist supports learning and development projects by coordinating activities, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate meetings, track action items, and prepare clear, accurate project reports. The HR Specialist plays a vital role in organizing and supporting initiatives that enhance workforce capability and drive continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate project activities with stakeholders, team members, and business partners to ensure alignment with project objectives.Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and plans to keep initiatives on track.Facilitate meetings by preparing agendas, documenting discussions, and ensuring effective participation from all stakeholders.Track action items, follow up with responsible parties, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.Monitor project milestones and deliverables, escalating issues and risks as needed to maintain progress.Prepare clear and concise project updates and status reports for leadership and stakeholders.Manage reporting and documentation, ensuring project records are accurate, organized, and up to date.Support Learning & Development initiatives by coordinating training-related projects and activities.Collaborate with Curriculum Developers, Lead Trainers, and Training Specialists to support the design and delivery of training programs.Partner with subject matter experts and operations personnel to gather information, validate content, and support project outcomes.Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance project effectiveness.Support change management activities related to project and training initiatives, helping stakeholders adopt new processes and tools.Assist with data analysis and reporting to measure project performance and outcomes.Essential SkillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.Experience in project planning and scheduling.Strong reporting and documentation management skills.Ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders.2–4 years of project coordination, project management, or related experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.Ability to accept and apply internship experience as part of overall professional experience.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Planner.Experience supporting Learning & Development initiatives.Continuous improvement experience, including identifying and implementing process improvements.Data analysis and reporting experience, particularly in a project or HR context.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Change management experience, including supporting stakeholders through process or organizational changes.Work EnvironmentThis role operates within a manufacturing facility environment and involves regular interaction with Learning & Development team members, operations personnel, and business partners. The HR Specialist reports to a Learning & Development leader and works closely with Curriculum Developers, Lead Trainers, Training Specialists, and subject matter experts. The position requires regular collaboration in both office and production settings to support project activities and business initiatives. Work is conducted using standard office technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools, in a professional setting that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
