Position Summary:
- Responsible for assembling, modifying, and troubleshooting prototype vehicle systems and components.
- Applies working knowledge of vehicle assemblies, mechanical systems, and build processes to support prototype development activities with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and modify prototype vehicle components and systems.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Troubleshoot assembly and fitment issues.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Support testing, rework, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of mechanical, automotive, manufacturing, or assembly experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle assemblies and mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- This positions it as a step above entry level, with an expectation of prior hands-on automotive or assembly experience and familiarity with vehicle systems.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
