Scheduling Clerk / Advanced Surgery Scheduler - Summit Surgical SpecialistsPosition Details:Hourly Base Rate: Starting at $19.05-26.67Shift: Day ShiftHours Per Week: 40 hours/weekJob Summary:Schedules surgery, office and ancillary department appointments.Completes prior authorizations and referrals.Coordinates with various departments, physicians' offices and patients regarding procedures and tests.Provides administrative and secretarial support to the surgery clinical staff.Handles database management, record and file keeping and answers incoming calls.Other job duties will include, but not be limited to clinical coding and patient billing.Education/Licensing:High School Diploma or equivalent.Qualifications/Skills:Skills adequate to perform the above.Two years scheduling experience required in a physician clinic.Two years of registration experience required.Medical terminology preferred.
