Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), every other weekend required (minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule), float requirements within women's services as needed

Highlights:

• High-volume birthing center with over 300 births per month and an average of 20 births in 24 hours
• Fast-paced, high-acuity unit managing intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater
• 2:1 patient ratios with double labor assignments occurring daily; 30-40 admits and 40 visits per day
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract length up to 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027, supporting the unit through the busy holiday season
• 24 hours of paid orientation with scrubs provided

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years preferred
• Proven experience working in high-volume birthing centers with 300+ births per month
• Must be comfortable with double labor assignments and fast-paced environments
• Ability to circulate for C-sections and perform sterile vaginal exams
• Competency in immediate newborn care and triage of obstetrical patients
• Current certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM), and NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced in large, high-volume settings
