This role is central to our efforts to design and build manufacturing facilities that will enable domestic nuclear fuel production. This position supports EPC projects, including NRC-regulated environments, and is responsible for executing sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, and supplier management activities. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, construction, quality, and project teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesExecute procurement activities across EPC projects from requisition through delivery, closeout, and documentation turnoverReview purchase requisitions, scopes of work, technical specifications, and commercial terms for completeness and accuracyDevelop sourcing strategies and identify qualified suppliers and subcontractorsPrepare and issue RFQs, bid packages, and supplier communicationsEvaluate supplier proposals based on cost, schedule, technical compliance, and riskSupport and lead commercial negotiations including pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and change managementIssue and manage purchase orders, service agreements, and subcontractsPartner with engineering, quality, and construction teams to align procurement with project schedules and execution prioritiesMonitor supplier performance and expedite critical materials and equipmentResolve issues related to schedule, quality, documentation, invoicing, and change ordersEnsure supplier compliance with quality, inspection, testing, and documentation requirementsMaintain accurate, audit-ready procurement records and documentationProvide regular reporting on procurement status, risks, and supplier performanceContribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and supplier management practicesBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience5–8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in EPC, construction, or industrial environmentsExperience sourcing materials, equipment, and services for technical or capital projectsFamiliarity with procurement processes including RFQs, bid evaluations, and purchase order managementAbility to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specificationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially ExcelPreferred Skills and Experience:Experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, energy, or infrastructureFamiliarity with quality standards, supplier qualification, and documentation control requirementsExperience supporting large capital projects or EPC environmentsKnowledge of contract terms, commercial risk, and supplier management practicesExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD EdwardsProfessional certifications such as CPSM, CPPB, or equivalentAdditional Requirements:Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.Open to travel.Equal Opportunity EmployerGeneral Matter is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with General Matter is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.Compensation and BenefitsThe base salary range for this role is $90,000–$160,000 annually. Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
