Quality Control Specialist, Supplier Development

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll take the lead in ensuring that supplier‑provided materials meet Centrus’s high standards. You’ll perform and validate inspections, document results with precision, support first‑article and PPAP activities, and help drive corrective actions when issues arise. You’ll collaborate closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve supplier‑related challenges, monitor quality trends, and contribute to continuous improvement across the supply chain. You’ll also assist with audits, train team members, recommend process enhancements, and travel to supplier sites to conduct in‑depth evaluations that strengthen overall supplier performance.

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates with

• An Associate degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology OR relevant vocational training .
• 3+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• The ability to obtain or maintain an active Q clearance .
• Strong hands‑on skill using precision measurement tools .
• An exceptional eye for accuracy and detail , plus strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear communication skills that help issues get solved quickly.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively .
• Solid organization and time‑management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software.
• NDT Certifications (3 or more required)
  • Receiving, Dimensional, Mechanical, or Electrical Inspection
  • Visual Weld Inspection (AWS CWI preferred)
  • Civil Inspection
  • Leak Testing (Helium preferred)
  • Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, or Radiographic Inspection

A Successful Candidate Also Brings

Candidates stand out even more if they bring a bachelor’s degree in engineering, ASQ certification (such as CQT), experience with formal quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100), and hands-on exposure to PPAP, FAI, and supplier quality processes. A strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and alignment with Centrus’s mission and values is also highly valued.

Pay

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $64,248-$107,080. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.

This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
