Job Overview

The Audiologist I provides diagnostic audiological evaluations, interventions and family/caregiver consultation and education in all settings in which audiology services are offered including but not limited to inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth programs. The Audiologist I is an entry level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP).

Job Status: 1.0 FTE; 40 hours/week - eligible for benefits. Saturdays are an expectation to start, with an opportunity to transition off of Saturdays eventually.
Shift: 4x10 hour shifts

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

1. Provides developmentally appropriate diagnostic evaluations, intervention services, and case management activities consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in discipline area (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, audiology) and department quality assurance standards.
2. Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other educational institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services. All interactions are non-judgmental and based on mutual respect.
3. Evaluates and treats children from birth to 21 years of age, across the continuum, with a variety of diagnoses, in specialized programs, on inpatient and/or outpatient units. Incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.
4. Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.
5. Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
6. Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames.

Minimum Qualifications

• EDUCATION - Master's degree in Audiology.
• EXPERIENCE - One (1) year experience providing pediatric audiology services in pediatric setting.
• EQUIVALENCY - N/A
• CERTIFICATION(S) - Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
• LICENSURE - Current registration and licensure in Audiology by the State of Colorado; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employment
  
  

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $87,095.44 to $130,643.17
