School Bus Activity Drivers

School Bus Activity Driver (2026 - 2027 School Year)Qualified applicants will possess a current CDL license with proper endorsements or be willing to enroll in required training. NPS personnel will provide training and the vehicles for training as needed. Reports to: Associate Superintendent and Bus Supervisor Job Goal: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's transportation program. Terms of employment: Part-time Evaluation: Annually based on job performance, effort, and enthusiasm.DutiesObeys all traffic lawsObserves all mandatory safety regulations for school vehicles and follows district procedures.Interacts positively with students and maintains a safe environment for all riders.Reports discipline issues to the proper authorities.Maintains a clean and orderly vehicle.Checks the vehicle before each operation to identify mechanical issues.Notifies supervisors of vehicle defects.Follows an assigned schedule in a timely manner.Releases students only at authorized stops and transports only authorized students.Reports all accidents and safety problems.Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.SkillsAbility to problem-solve solutions to various challenges.Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Must have a good driving record and be able to pass a DOT physical.Good communication skills.
