Job Overview A law firm seeks a Tax Controversy Associate in Orlando, FL. The candidate should have 4 to 7 years of civil tax controversy experience, preferably within a law firm setting. This role involves representing taxpayers before the IRS and state tax agencies, conducting legal research, and managing client relationships. Duties Represent taxpayers before the IRS and state tax agencies. Conduct efficient legal research and analysis. Prepare and review draft legal documents related to tax controversies. Manage multiple projects and deadlines under attorney supervision. Interact daily with clients and manage client relationships. Collaborate with large transactional practices. Requirements 4 to 7 years of civil tax controversy experience. Experience with IRS and state tax agencies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and strong technical abilities. Education Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the jurisdiction of resident office location. Skills Ability to break down complex topics and identify practical solutions.
