Client is seeking a highly experienced Business Segment Director to oversee a portfolio of mission-critical space and national security programs focused on networking, data transport, cybersecurity, cryptography, and high-assurance mission systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive leadership experience managing complex defense or aerospace programs, driving business growth, overseeing program execution, and leading multidisciplinary teams within classified environments. This role requires strong expertise in space systems, avionics, cybersecurity, cryptographic technologies, customer relationship management, and strategic business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of high-value mission solution programs supporting national security systems.
• Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategic growth plans.
• Drive business area growth through new contract awards and adjacent opportunity capture.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize operational and financial performance.
• Lead organizational transformation and change management initiatives.

• Oversee successful execution of complex development and production programs.
• Ensure programs meet customer requirements, operational targets, and financial objectives.
• Monitor business measurements, operational metrics, and financial performance indicators.
• Drive customer satisfaction through high-quality program delivery and execution excellence.
• Balance process, schedule, technical performance, and business priorities effectively.

• Develop and maintain trusted customer relationships across defense and national security communities.
• Support business development activities, capture efforts, and strategic customer engagements.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Collaborate across matrix organizations to align priorities and achieve business objectives.

• Lead programs involving: space systems, satellites, avionics, data transport, networking solutions, cybersecurity, cryptographic solutions.
• Support high-assurance security certifications and compartmented programs.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, AI integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and results-driven culture.
• Influence organizational thinking and drive accountability throughout teams.
• Guide teams through complex and ambiguous operational environments.

Education

• Proven experience managing high-value development and production programs.
• Experience supporting classified or compartmented efforts.
• Experience leading large, complex organizations or business segments.

Clearance Requirement

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph required at time of hire.
• US Citizenship required.

Work Environment

• Onsite secure defense facility environment in Scottsdale, AZ.
• Collaboration with national security, engineering, and executive leadership teams.
• Fast-paced classified aerospace and defense environment.
• Occasional travel required.
