A unique opportunity is available for an experienced Physical Therapist seeking a rewarding contract role for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will primarily serve students in the Newtown area, with travel one day per week to Morrisville/Pennsbury. Additional coverage may be needed in Carbon County and Lehigh County, providing a diverse and engaging caseload for the right candidate.
This is an in-person role, ideal for professionals with at least one year of experience working with preschool-aged children in educational settings. The schedule consists of approximately 21-28 hours per week, spread over 3-4 days, with the potential to extend into the summer.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid, active Physical Therapy licensure meeting state requirements
- Minimum of one year preschool experience in a school environment
- Commitment to fully in-person service; remote work is not available
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel within specified coverage areas as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, primarily in Newtown with additional coverage assignments as indicated
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and caregivers to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation
- Adapt sessions based on student progress and diverse needs
