Contract Opportunity! Fiber Technician / Cable Techs Travel-based Siter-Neubauer & Associates is currently conducting searches for Fiber Technicians or Cable Techs to assist with fiber testing (no splicing) at data centers across the U.S. This is a travel-based role with assignments that typically run up to two weeks at a time. You'll work hands‑on with tools like OTDRs and power meters to test and verify dark fiber connections— no splicing required . If you have basic experience with cable, low‑voltage, or electronics, and you’re open to life on the road, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain field experience and grow in the fiber optics space. Training provided. Responsibilities Test dark fiber inside major U.S. data centers Travel to various job sites across the U.S. Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures Qualifications Experience in cable, low‑voltage, or electronics preferred Comfortable using test tools (OTDR, power meter, etc.) Able to read labels, trace fiber, and identify server racks Must be able to work independently in the field Valid U.S. driver’s license; able to pass drug and background checks Compensation and Benefits $50/day per diem for meals Hourly pay, paid weekly.
