Description Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Canyon Creek Pet Hospital San Jose, California Position Highlights Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule Expected starting range of $28 - $32 per hour, based on experience No weekends Hands-on surgery, dental, radiology, and anesthesia experience Schedule (Full-Time): Monday-Friday. Hospital hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with staff shifts typically ranging from 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $28 - $32/ hour. The final compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. About You In this role, you’ll work alongside veterinarians and support staff to deliver excellent medical and surgical care while creating a positive, professional client experience. This position is ideal for an RVT who enjoys staying clinically engaged and fully utilizing their skill set. Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Assist with and support soft tissue surgeries, including patient prep and recovery Provide skilled nursing care for hospitalized and outpatient patients Perform and assist with dental procedures, including dental radiographs Obtain high-quality digital radiographs Perform venipunctures, IV catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection Assist with cystocentesis procedures Monitor patients under anesthesia, including intubation and recovery monitoring Deliver exceptional client communication and education Required Qualifications Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in California 1+ years of clinical experience as an RVT preferred; newly licensed RVTs with strong Veterinary Assistant experience are also encouraged to apply.
