Pricing Coordinator

About the Role

A well-known national retail and lifestyle brand is looking for a Pricing Analyst to join its pricing team on a contract basis, covering a leave of absence. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Pricing Manager, with no direct reports. You will be hands-on with day-to-day pricing execution, including proofing disclaimers, processing price changes, and writing promos in XCC. Workload varies day to day, typically with heavy email and proofing work in the morning and promo/price change work fluctuating based on business needs.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

• Execute and maintain pricing for promotions, markdowns, and clearance items across stores.
• Review and proof pricing communications to ensure accuracy and consistency, safeguarding pricing integrity.
• Support pricing audits and collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with established controls.
• Build and maintain pricing processes, proactively identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, planning, store operations, and field teams to coordinate pricing for key in-store events.
• Assist in reporting and analysis to support strategic pricing and markdown initiatives.
• Communicate pricing direction clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders and field teams.

What Youll Bring

• 13 years of experience in retail, merchandising, pricing, or operations.
• Strong attention to detail with proven experience reviewing or validating high-volume data.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Clear and effective communication skills, particularly in written formats.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data tracking and reporting.
• Basic understanding of retail pricing, promotions, or the financial impact of markdowns.

Bonus Points

• Experience supporting audits or compliance processes.
• Exposure to merchandise planning or inventory systems.
• Familiarity with pricing analytics or reporting tools.
• Experience in high-volume retail environments with frequent pricing changes.
