ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Job TitleJob Overview:Pay Range: $12.75hr - $17.75hrRequirement/Must Have:Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered.Ability to perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.High level of customer service experience and skills.Keyboard and data entry experience.Phlebotomy experience, including internship or externship experience to learn the basics.Responsibilities:Greet patients upon arrival and answer questions or concerns with care and compassion.Maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.Utilize Phlebotomy skills to support the organization.Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining scheduled procedures to patients in a safe and accurate manner.Demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.Maintain a safe and professional environment.Maintain required records and documentation.Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.Assist patients with check-in at the kiosk and ensure they are comfortable while waiting.Skills:Phlebotomy.Customer Service.Data Entry.Specimen Collection.Specimen Processing.Qualification And Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required.Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (e.g., Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.).Phlebotomy experience is required.
