Position Description Ryder is hiring a Flex Class A CDL Truck Driver in Salt Lake City, UT — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Ryder employees who drive on this account earn $1800 - $2200 weekly and it gets better. Paid weekly. Weekly guarantee $1800 per week (in UT). Weekly guarantee $2200 per week (in ID, CO or MT). Safety bonus: up to $2000 a year. Loyalty bonus: $1250 at 6 months and $1250 at 1 year. Paid training. Schedule: varies – Sunday to Friday or Monday to Saturday. Start time: 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM or 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Routes and Equipment Deliver SOLO to UT, ID, NV, AZ, CO, WY, MT, WA, OR & NE. Route: Local Home Daily & Regional based on account. Tractor type: Day cabs & sleepers. Trailer type: Dry van 27' (doubles), 48' & 53' flatbed & Conestoga 53'. Equipment: forklift & pallet jack. Ryder will train on all equipment needed. Freight: touch – varies, including beverages & electrical supplies. Endorsements: doubles experience and endorsement required at time of hire. Hamat endorsement required – must obtain within 30 days of hire. We reimburse cost to obtain endorsements and provide training. Vehicle Maintenance Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fuel the trucks at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide. Benefits Medical, dental & vision after 30 days. 80 hours PTO first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid for it). Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided. Drivers are the captain – you make safety decisions, and your job is protected. 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year. 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to specific eligibility criteria, including work tenure). Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years experience within the last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures. Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards and maintaining accurate records and logs. Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer.
