The SLP teaches patients how to produce sounds, improve voice quality, and enhance oral and written language skills for effective communication. The SLP teaches individuals how to strengthen muscles or employ compensatory strategies to swallow safely without choking or inhaling food or liquid. Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders. Assesses patient needs, plans, evaluates, and modifies care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions. Sets realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills so they can fulfill their educational, vocational, and social roles. Requirements Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP or actively pursuing licensure. At least one year of professional working experience. Must hold a Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology. Current CPR certification. Must have CCC's. Additional requirements determined by the client facility.
