Job Full Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
Measure, mark, and layout materials for fabrication.
Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, presses, shears, brakes, and punch machines.
Cut, bend, drill, and shape metal materials to required specifications.
Assemble fabricated components using welding, bolting, riveting, or other fastening methods.
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as required.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the shop.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines.
Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous metal fabrication experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience operating fabrication machinery and hand tools.
Welding experience is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
Reliable transportation and attendance.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; heavier lifting with assistance.
Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
