CrossFit Coach – Morning Classes
Train 8NINE | CrossFit Coconut Grove | Miami, FL
Part-time | $25-$35/ class

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate, knowledgeable CrossFit Level 1 Coach to lead our morning classes. Our morning members are some of the most dedicated people in the gym. They show up early, they're consistent, and they count on their coach to start their day right. You'll run group classes, teach and correct movement, scale workouts for every ability level, and create an energy that keeps people coming back. The right person is reliable, cares about good coaching, and wants to grow in the craft.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 5:15 am to 8:00 am
• Class times: 5:30 am and 6:45 am
• Arrive 15 minutes before the first class to set up and welcome members

What You'll Do

• Lead group CrossFit classes: warm-up, skill and strength work, WOD, and cool-down
• Teach, cue, and correct movement with safety and technique first
• Scale and modify workouts for every member, from beginners to competitors
• Learn members' names, goals, and limitations, and track their progress
• Welcome new members and drop-ins, and help first-timers feel comfortable
• Keep the floor organized and set up before class, then reset after
• Record results and keep members engaged through [app/whiteboard]
• Work with the coaching team on programming feedback and member retention.

Requirements

• CrossFit Level 1 certified
• Reliable availability for early-morning classes
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire clients of all backgrounds
• A passion for health and fitness and a commitment to ongoing professional development

Preferred, but not required

• Experience teaching group fitness classes or coaching sports
• CrossFit Level 2, or a certification such as USAW, NSCA, or NASM
• Olympic weightlifting or gymnastics coaching experience
• HYROX experience or interest
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Our founders helped build the CrossFit movement in this region, and that history shows in how we run things: good programming, high coaching standards, and a community members describe as a second home.

Members come to us from the Grove, Coral Gables, Brickell, and South Miami. They range from first-timers to experienced competitors. Along with CrossFit, we offer personal training, HYROX Training, nutrition coaching led by our in-house Registered Dietitian, and open gym. The facility is fully equipped, and our members come in early, work hard, and support each other.
