CDL Driver

Department: Yard Job Title: CDL Driver Reports To: Store Manager Full/Part Time: Full Direct Reports: No Salary/Wage: Based on experience Job Description As a CDL Driver, you will deliver landscape materials to customers and stores, assist with truck loading, and operate heavy trucks safely. The role requires a CDL Class B license, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to handle loads up to 70 lbs. Responsibilities Complete pre‑trip inspections of your truck Verify that the load matches the order before leaving the store Call the customer to confirm delivery and provide an estimated arrival time Occasionally load a flatbed truck with a Moffett forklift Drive a heavy truck to deliver landscape materials such as mulch and rock Listen to the customer and drop the load in the desired location Carry your CDL medical card Record all driving in the driver log Wash and maintain the delivery trucks Deliver transfers between our stores Assist in the yard with hand or equipment loading of landscape materials when not driving Assist with special requests from management Required Qualifications CDL Class B license Clean Motor Vehicle Record for at least 7 years Positive and friendly interactions with customers Clear communication with colleagues in person and over radio Work steady and safely around people and vehicles Desired Qualifications Experience using a Moffett forklift Experience working with a wheel loader or other heavy equipment Physical Requirements Ability to lift and handle up to 70 lbs.
