Sunrock is hiring a Haul Truck Driver to transport aggregate materials from the quarry pit to the primary crusher. This role is essential to maintaining safe, efficient production and meeting daily tonnage goals.

This position is ideal for individuals seeking a stable career in mining, aggregates, heavy equipment, or quarry operations . No prior haul truck experience is required — we will train the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

• Operate an off-road haul truck to transport sand, rock, and gravel

• Move materials safely and efficiently to support production goals

• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and complete safety checklists

• Fuel, grease, and maintain cleanliness of assigned equipment

• Assist with plant cleanup and site housekeeping

• Support maintenance tasks and weekly plant support activities

• Move materials to the concrete plant as needed

• Follow all safety procedures and MSHA guidelines

What We’re Looking For

• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License

• Ability to operate equipment safely and follow procedures

• Strong attention to safety and teamwork

• Dependable and punctual work habits

• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions

• Mechanical awareness and willingness to assist with equipment upkeep

No prior experience required. Training provided.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role involves working outdoors in a quarry environment and operating heavy equipment. Duties include climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and changing weather conditions.
