Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location. You'll conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication to passengers, employees, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.05 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWed05:00 AM - 01:00 PMThur10:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat05:00 AM - 01:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and government transportation facility personnel while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, vehicle access points, platforms, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe activity at assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency responders and law enforcement as needed. Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements. Minimum Requirements: Possess a concealed carry weapons permit. Have at least one year of security-related experience. An armed guard card or license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Handcuffing certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
