Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex perioperative nursing care across a diverse surgical caseload including Pain, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, Podiatry, General Surgery, and Orthopedics for Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients
• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and available resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room / Surgical nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical cases
• Familiarity with a high-volume, multi-specialty OR environment
