Delivery Supervisor, DSD

Job Description This position is required to be on-site in Elk Grove, CA (No relocation available). The role involves executing warehouse operations in terms of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policy compliance. You will also work collaboratively with key internal and external business partners, including third‑party logistics vendors, to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution. Responsibilities Inventory management (iDoc management, stock reconciliation) Interfaces monitoring, track and trace Claims management, invoice management Compliance execution (HSE, quality, risk management) Tenders support, third‑party performance management Pallets management Manage day‑to‑day plans including order/route management, inventory management, employee performance and daily communication with internal/external customers and stakeholders Drive key KPIs under Safety, Service, Cost and People categories Coach delivery drivers and lead driver methods training and meetings Scheduling routes to drivers and ensuring compliance with HOS/DOT regulations Perform roadside inspections, safety/SHAPE meetings, branch safety audits Ensure accurate order fills and on‑time deliveries at store level Identify supply chain opportunities and address issues in strategic and tactical plans Source, onboard and develop direct reports and branch teams; manage relationships with local labor unions Coordinate hotel reservations for overnight drivers and process related expenses Lead monthly employee engagement initiatives and branch safety meetings Maintain daily branch manifest logs and POD records using Quick Base Assist with driver route assignment, schedule distribution and LTL freight shipment coordination Required Experience and Knowledge SAP HHC (Driver Handheld) Driver’s Methods Training / Smith systems Training Zonar reporting Warehouse labor planning (WPP); route composition (with Wilkes Barre) Managing employee performance, labor management (union); team building Local planning team meetings (linkage with demand/fulfillment/sales/customer planning) Federal and State regulatory compliance & law (DOT, OSHA, workers compensation, HR policies) Education / Certifications Educational background in business, logistics or related field (recommended but not required) 2-5 years of field logistics experience Organizational ability Team/people development skills Understanding of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry Job Specific Requirements Front line leadership experience managing hourly union/non-union employees Enhanced skills related to branch management & DSD processes and procedures People development, team building and customer orientation Travel Requirements Less than 10% Work Schedule 2nd Shift (1:30 PM to 10 PM) Salary and Benefits The base salary range is $77,600 to $106,700, based on experience, skills, education and location. Eligible for a highly competitive bonus program.
