Compensation: $38–$41 per hour
Schedule: 30 hours per week
Hours: Monday–Friday with weekend rotation
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility
Facility Size: 90 beds
Services: Post-Hospital Rehabilitation, Short-Term Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, and Respite Care

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join a 90-bed skilled nursing facility in Waterville, Maine.

The center provides a diverse range of services, including post-hospital and short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care. This gives you the opportunity to work with a varied patient population while developing a well-rounded clinical skill set.

This position offers 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday with a weekend rotation , making it a great opportunity for a PT who wants meaningful clinical work while maintaining a manageable schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals

• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence

• Treat patients across post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care settings

• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility, and safety

• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

• Promote patient safety and quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program

• Current Maine Physical Therapist license

• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Patient-centered approach to care

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

• Strong organizational and documentation skills
