About The Role The Associate Teacher assists the Teacher, Master Teacher, or Center Director and takes responsibility for the general supervision, development, and education of children. Responsibilities Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing the daily program. Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment and needed materials and supplies. Perform primary caregiving responsibilities. Follow the Desired Results Process. Maintain the environment in a clean, safe condition. Manage regular parent communication, including parent conferences and chats with families. Supervise Teacher Aides, Substitute Teachers, and Volunteers as requested. Assume responsibilities in the absence of the Teacher, Master Teacher, or Center Director. Maintain general health, safety, and well-being of all children in the center. Prepare written reports as directed. Attend meetings as requested. Participate in activities that support own professional growth. Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and employees. Work as a member of the agency team by promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization. Greet children, parents, staff, and guests as needed. Assist other centers when requested. All other duties as assigned by the Master Teacher or Center Director.
