Position Summary The role focuses on leading and developing a high-performing store team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving financial results. It involves training associates, managing operations, ensuring compliance, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. Responsibilities Lead and develop teams by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback. Teach, train, and actively listen to associates touring the store to improve operations. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance on implementing business solutions. Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manage and support customer service initiatives, including community outreach and complaint resolution. Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing PL statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals through action plans. Hire, train, mentor, and supervise hourly associates, setting clear expectations and recognizing achievements. Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to meet customer and business needs. Support company policies and ethics, promote openness, and apply the Open Door Policy. Foster a workplace of belonging, respect diversity, and cultivate inclusive practices. Act with integrity and uphold Walmart values, supporting regenerative initiatives and community impact. Serve customers and members first, using data-driven decisions to balance priorities. Drive continuous improvement, adopt new technologies, and support teammates during change. Compensation The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00–$100,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, Regional Pay Zone adjustments, and a complex structure bonus where applicable. Minimum Qualifications 2 years of college OR 1 year of retail experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearms facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training. For ammunition facilities with state requirements: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility. Completion of all required job trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (e.g., through Live Better U or Bellevue University). Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination responsibilities.
