This is a Full‑Time, 40‑hour weekly position within the Psychiatric Rehabilitation or Adult Acute program serving adult patients. The main duties include developing treatment plans, overseeing the delivery of evidence‑based treatment, and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy. The South Dakota Human Services Center is the State’s only public psychiatric hospital, located in Yankton, SD. Responsibilities Develop treatment plans for patients. Oversee delivery of evidence‑based treatments. Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy. Provide appropriate, individualized treatment services that meet the changing needs of patients. Enable individuals to achieve their highest level of functioning. Achieve enhanced program integration with other public and private agencies to provide successful transition of treatment services for individuals between inpatient and outpatient settings. Licenses and Certifications Preferred candidate will have a master’s degree in social work and be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a certified social worker. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Apply proper interviewing techniques. Write meaningful, concise, and accurate reports and correspondence. Communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. Develop and implement effective therapy, treatment approaches, and teaching curriculum. Oversee treatment planning and treatment. Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy.
