Scheduler/Caregiver Office position $16-18/hr - Multiple shifts

Scheduler/Caregiver In-Office — Scheduling, Care Documentation & Caregiver Communication, with Fill-In Caregiving as Needed Reports To: Office Coordinator / Business Operations Location: Senior Helpers of Waxhaw & Monroe — serving Union, Cabarrus, Stanly, and Rowan counties Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, depending on shift Shift Options: Weekday set hours OR weekends only — multiple shifts/positions available Senior Helpers of Waxhaw & Monroe is seeking an organized, dependable Scheduler to coordinate caregiver assignments, maintain accurate care plan documentation, and serve as the main point of contact between caregivers, clients, and the office. Because coverage gaps directly affect our clients, this role also includes stepping in as a fill-in caregiver for last-minute cancellations when no other coverage is available. We use a selective hiring process to ensure we bring on only the most skilled, reliable, and compassionate professionals. Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Care Coordination (Primary Focus)

• Build and maintain caregiver schedules to meet client needs and service plans.
• Manage caregiver call-outs, replacements, and last-minute schedule changes.
• Match caregiver skills and certifications to client care requirements.
• Document and update client care plans in home care software.
• Communicate schedules, changes, and care plan updates clearly to caregivers and families.
• Track missed shifts, coverage gaps, and schedule exceptions.

Fill-In Caregiving (As Needed / Last-Minute Coverage Only)

• Step in only when a shift can't otherwise be covered or a caregiver cancels last minute.
• Assist with activities of daily living, companionship, and following the client's care plan.
• Document visit notes and communicate any client changes to the office.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable in high-pressure situations.
• Technically proficient with scheduling software and AI-assisted scheduling tools.
• Active HHA, PCA, or CNA credential and prior caregiving experience required for fill-in coverage.
• Reliable transportation; must pass background and drug screenings.
