This position invites you to engage with a rich tapestry of clientele across various ages within a setting that harmoniously combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether you have an affinity for nurturing pediatric language skills, exploring adult neurogenic conditions, or guiding geriatric patients through cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will find purpose and balance in your work here.
Assess patients throughout the pediatric, adult, and geriatric spectrum using established evaluation methods and observational techniques.
Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions designed to improve communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to implement comprehensive care strategies.
Provide education for patients and their families to facilitate ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments as needed, ensuring consistent care throughout the recovery journey.
Keep meticulous documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional mandates.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and peer networking.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based practices across all age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to personalize therapy methods to align with various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable with electronic health records and documentation processes.
