Responsibilities Monitor Tech

This position is responsible for observing, documenting, and reporting cardiac rhythms of adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients on telemetry. Able to provide same care for patients throughout the life span, from infancy through late adulthood. Unit secretary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering the telephone, patient call lights, entering orders, maintaining accurate floor census.

Qualifications

Job requirements include current BLS (CPR) certification, knowledge of medical terminology, ability to exercise phone etiquette and computer skills, verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience as a telemetry tech preferred or completion of dysrythmia for monitor techs course within 90 days. Completion of unit secretary course or equivalent healthcare experience preferred.
